Technique
The images captured by a normal or specialized camera, analog or IP based, are being analyzed for the existance of license plates and, if found, the end result, the digits of the license plate, is stored in a database with or without the image. 

With the end result you can take different actions, like opening a barrier or search if the vehicle is stolen.  

SCANaCAR is shipped as Software Only solution, or you can choose the pre-installed version, bundled with hardware.
